I cant believe Dani has made several posts and neglected to mention that she subjected me to 5 hours of dealing with intolerant and rude pregnant ladies and annoying toddlers while dragging me around Babies'R'Us to do ur registry this past weekend. I insisted on being in control of the gun thing, so Dani doesnt realise that i added a few key items on that she doesnt know about.
It actually wasnt terrible, aside from the fact that according to the people in the store you apparently need 3,452 items to raise a baby. We opted for more like 40, so they weren't too happy with us.
For those with kids, or expecting, please let us know if you think we left anything off our list http://www.toysrus.com/registry/index.jsp.
But before you suggest it, i am not getting a baby wipe warmer.

sounds like a headache waiting to happy to me, glad it went okay. i'm not a parent so i can't comment on the registry items, but how cute are all those baby things?!
Chris, you are too right on the baby wipe warmer. Absolutely un-neccessary. You don't need alot of stuff for the baby, just patience, diapers and ALOT of coffee. (for the sleepless nights)
Sounds like a good time!!
hahaha! Chris, i gotta agree with you on the baby wipe warmer. Did Dani get the link i sent her about the bumbleride stroller? Should I tell you that we did our babies r us registry online....it was quite nice because that way you can read the customer feedback on each produt (since this is ALL new to us, it was super helpful).
i think i would have been overwhelmed in that store, but it sounds like you guys got the important stuff down! baby stuff is so flippin cute.
SO TRUE ON THE WIPES WARMER!!! What a waste of money, time, and plastic! :)
I peeked at your registry. I think you guys did great! Brad took the gun too when we went. Why is it so overwhelming in there???? So not fun.
I asked Brad what 1 product he thinks is necessary and he said a velcro swaddle blanket. I tend to agree. You guys should add that to your registry. I think they are like 10 bucks. I should remember as we had to keep replacing ours because Cali would eat them!
I really was surprised to find out that babies just don't cost that much. (We did breastfeed and use cloth diapers though)...but still...Keep it simple and just know that except for food and diapers, all they need is YOU.
Not that I am a parent or even close to being one... I know that an exersaucer is an essential item that is a must have! My nieces and nephews spent hours in those things! You also need TONS of onsies and burp cloths...AND a baby wipe warmer... Chris, maybe you should try wiping your butt with cold wipes and see how you feel!!!
