Home at last!!!

We finally made it home! Mother and baby are doing well and settling in to life at home.

Still at the hospital

Just wanted to do a quick update. Dani and Logan are still in the hospital. 5 days now but hopefully we get discharged today.

Not Waiting any more!

Long story short:
Dani begins labor at 11pm friday evening
Dani delivers baby at 6:15pm Saturday afternoon (19 and a 1/4 hrs) after trying for 4 hours then having to have emergency surgery anyway
Dani is exhausted and still at hospital
Chris is home typing this, feeding the dog and then heading back to the hospital!

Still Waiting!

Dani is still doing well and up and about. In fact she probably gets more exercise than me! She walks at least an hour every day and is feeling good. The little man is due tomorrow so if there is any news we will text everyone to let you know.

Waiting Game

Everything is still going really well. I am happy to say that i still feel great and have been walking for about a hour every day! At my doctors appointment last week they said i was making good progress and could go any time. Chris and I are ready for the little guy to get here so hopefully soon! We'll keep you posted on any changes!

Let me clarify...the little guy is DUE in 11 days!!! It is yet to be seen if he will be late, on time, or early!

Stay at home mom?

I am officially a stay at home mom...well except for the fact that i am not yet a mom and that i do have to go back to work in May! My last day of work was Friday and this weekend i was 9 months! It is crazy how fast the time has flown by! We are certainly as ready as we could be though. We have enough clothes for a small army, tons of diapers, and we are both trying to store up some extra sleep! While i don't have my 9 month picture on the computer for you yet, i do have pictures from my baby shower!

The shower was great! We kept it small and low key but it was tons of fun. My mom prepared some great food, michelle organized super fun games and best of all my closest friends were all able to join us!

About time!

Yes i am a horrible person. Yes, it has been almost a month since I last posted! Yes, i am working on it!

Here is the problem...I get home from school around 4 and i go to bed at like 8, so this leaves very little time for me to get things done at night! By the time we make dinner, eat dinner, clean up dinner, make lunches, clean up lunches and sit down to actually have a conversation....its like 7:30 and time to get ready for bed!

I have tons of pictures to post and promise i will soon! I am now 7 1/2 months, so i have my 7 month photo for all of you see (very large and scary!). We are all finished with the bathroom, so i have the before and after shots for you too! And we have pretty much finished the baby room! Everything is painted, we just need curtains and a rocker!

So you may be wondering what we have been up to the last month! Seriously, i don't know!!! It has flown by! We have had several snowy days, several very good basketball games (Go UCONN!), some visits with old friends, and lots of baby prep! Chris is still loving teaching and i am still feeling good! Other than some heartburn at night and being a little tired, no complaints! (Fingers crossed delivery goes as well as the 9 months leading up to it!!!)

This weekend we have our first baby class so wish us luck!

Snow Day!

Today was our first family snow day! We spent the first half of the day watching crappy shows and movies, followed by Chris getting to shovel the driveway! Chris was very excited about his first snow day ever- until he realized that part of it would be spent shoveling!


Here he is giving me the finger! It is a real shame that pregnant people can't help with this sort of thing!
