As promised...
Last week i drove up to PA to visit Danielle in her new house, with her new fiance and their doggy! They have a great house with lots of color (hate white walls!) and she is lucky enough to have snagged a really great guy! Not only did he put up with us gossiping but he put up with me being super nosy about their wedding!

All of a sudden i have gotten quite large! I feel like 2 weeks ago i barely looked pregnant now its hard to put on socks! The first photos is of my fancy new maternity outfit my grandma got me (at about 4 1/2 months) and the second is my official 5 month shot from today! We took it after school (all the others we took first thing in the morning) so i am bit bloated, but basically i'm just big! I can't believe it has been five months already!!
5 months!!
Five months already!! I can't believe how fast the months have gone by! We have some new pictures to put up of my 5 month belly, a play date with Danielle and her new Fiance, and we'll get some Halloween stuff up too! Check back soon!!!

October Snow?
That's right my friends and not just a little snow either! My school had about 5 inches at the end of the day, we were without power/heat for a few hours and the last bus didn't get to school until after 5! (Can we say unprepared??) Chris only got an inch or two at his school (about 20 minutes away) but had a rough time getting home. All (yes all four) major highways were closed or simply at a stand still! He had the joy of all back roads to get him home! I was really really hoping to get a picture of all the snow when i got home (5 minutes away from my school) but was surprised to find only a dusting!!! My school is on the Mt. of Mt. Olive Township and we live in the valley...hence so snow at our house! Needless to say it was quite the eventful day! Lets hope it warms up for Friday or Halloween isn't going to be too fun!

IT'S A BOY
Not only do my boys swim, but they make more boys! We had the level II ultrasound yesterday and were pleased to find out our little guy is healthy. He has fingers and toes in the right place, has a healthy heart, organs, bones etc. We were also very pleased to find out our first little one is going to be a boy. See the picture below for proof!!!!
The arrow is pointing to his tackle. Its almost like he sat on a photocopier naked and this is the resulting image!

Michelle's Bday
On Saturday we drove up to Hartford, CT to visit Dani's sister, Michelle. She had just celebrated her birthday so we drove up to see her. We met Dani's parents there for a nice afternoon of schmoozing and walking in the park. Michelle has a very nice condo in a beautiful area. Here are a couple of happy snaps from the day.

My Say
Having the second name in the title of this blog allows me certain rights and privileges. Like changing the template style whenever i like. You will know when Dani has checked this blog next because you will either a) hear about my unfortunate death, or b) see that Dani made me change the template back, or to something else she likes better!

Bella Band
Possibly the coolest pregnancy thing ever (or at least that i have discovered so far!)! This tube top looking spandex band goes over the top of your too tight pants. It allows you to leave your pants un-buttoned or un-zipped! The band lays over the top of your pants, keeping them up, while allowing your "expanding" stomach to be more comfortable!! While i realize eventually I'm going to have to get maternity pants, I'm not big enough for them yet but I'm big enough for my regular pants to be too tight! Super cool solution for now!

From the Baby Mama!
Having to keep the secret of being pregnant was a lot of work! Not only did it stink not being able to share the great news but it was just hard! I am happy to say though that so far everything has been going quite well! I have not been sick, only tired, and have been feeling pretty good! The only issue...bloating! While I'm only three months and not really showing, as the day goes on i get quite bloated (not that i can really complain b/c it has been the only downside!). I start the day off nice and slim (or as slim as i normally am!) and get increasingly larger as the day goes on! By 5pm i look like i am about 6 months pregnant! Because of this i have had to be very careful with my clothing selection because what fits at 7am when i get dressed, doesn't at 4pm when i leave school! But other than that all is well!
We got out latest test results back and we only have a 1 in 10,000 chance of the two most common chromosome diseases (very very good news), my blood work is good (also good news), and we haven't gotten any phone calls on Chris' blood work so he should be clear too (more good news!). Our next round of tests are in mid October when we go back to listen to the heart beat and they steal more of my blood!
Stay tuned for more exciting news!

Little Baby Marangon
Well the big news of the day is that Dani is pregnant. Although not big news to us as we have known for a few months. She is 3 months along and everything is going well so far. She had her second ultrasound today for her 3 month checkup and we were able to get some photos. Pretty cool that we had them zoom in on one to see the hand bones. Dani wasnt too happy having to chug a ton of water before and after the ultrasound but she was a big girl and did it anyway. Listening to the heart beat of the baby during the ultrasound is pretty amazing. We actually listened to the heart beat the first time (at 2 months) when the little guy was only 2cm long (i am assuming its a boy because i want a boy but we wont know the sex until the end of October!) .
Picture at 2 months
Dani had a good first trimester and didnt really have morning sickness but was just very tired for a lot of it. Dani thought we would take a while to get pregnant as statistically it usually does take a while. Fortunately for us, we got pregnant first time we tried! I joked with Dani straight after, that she was pregnant and it would be a boy. In fact for about a week after, i greeted her with "first time and a boy" in a fantastic announcer type voice, which i guess got a little annoying for her seeing as we had to wait a week till she could take the pregnancy test. Or just the fact that it was annoying?!

In any event we are very excited and have a lot to do now to get ready. We wanted to share our news (and pics) with all of you.

So long to summer!
That's it, it's over! We have enjoyed our last two weeks of not working and now must return to the world of 9-5 (well it is really 8-3). While we haven't exactly been sitting by the pool getting drunk, we have enjoyed the end of our summer. Chris has been very busy attending 4 days of new teacher meetings, i went to a 3 day reading workshop, chris has been visiting the schools he'll be at and getting all his supplies together, i have been unpacking my classroom after having to move rooms, and chris has been super busy planning for the first few weeks of school! We managed to squeeze in some other stuff and have been able to get a few things done around the house, sleep in a little, and eat way too much junk food!!
While we had a great summer, as we report for our "welcome back to school" meetings tomorrow, we will be gazing out the window wishing for just one more week of summer!!! And i'm sure everyone else will be too! :o)

New Job
Some of you may know this already but for those that don't.... i finally said goodbye to the Executive world of the Camping Industry and in 2 weeks will start my "new" career of teaching. I am going to be teaching K-5 P.E. and Health at a great school not too far from home.
I am really excited to teach again and be on the same schedule as Dani...not to mention being able to wear shorts and sneakers to work all year. I am also going to be starting my Masters degree in Educational Leadership (leading to principal licensure), which should take around 3 years.
So the Marangon household is now officially an all Educators household (except for Cooper the lazy S.O.B. who just sleeps all day and then eats and then sleeps again).
We have both been busy with orientations, reading over curriculums and setting up classrooms but are both very excited to be finally able to eat at least 1 meal a day together!
Hope everyone is doing well and we look forward to seeing / speaking / reading about you soon.

1. Lorri's Girls Nigh Out (prior to the big wedding!)- While i had to miss the spa, i did make it to her house for tons of food, super girlie drinks, games, swimming and fun!
2. Lorri and Nick's Wedding! The weather was great, they both looked amazing, and there was tons of food and dancing!

3. Chris played in the US vs. International Soccer Game for camp! It rained, the game was a mess, and the US won, but Chris didn't get hurt!
4. Camp took all the senior staff out for a nice dinner, then after we all went out to the bar for some drinks and dancing!

5. OLYMPICS!! (Please note that i cut two shirts in half and sewed them together by hand!)
