We live!!

Logan the Kangaroo!
Logan the porn star (when he was starting to crawl he would wabble, so to prevent himself from falling over he would do this....i guess the leg cross and arm on hip help stabalize him...either way, funny as hell!)

yes, we LOVE bath time!

i know we are horrible and i have not posted in oh....6 month but we are alive and well!
brief update: Logan is 7 months, he has two teeth, is crawling, can stand momentarily by himself, babbles like crazy, is about 22 lbs and is super happy! Chris and i are great and have had a good start to the school year! Enjoy!!

Schools Out....Almost

That's right folks, we are almost done with school! Chris' last day is Monday and my last day is Wednesday! I am happy to say that neither of us have gotten swine flu- even though chris' school was the first in the county to have a student with the flu and 3 of my students have had it as well! Chris will be teaching PE in the same schools next year but i will be making the move from 5th resource to 5th grade inclusion! For those of you that don't know, resource is a pull out program where the students leave their class and come to my room for special instruction in math and language arts. Inclusion is when there is a special ed and regular ed teacher in the classroom so the students don't have to leave. I am working with a good friend of mine so i am very excited!

In other news, Chris' mom is now visiting with us! She is visiting for two weeks to spend some time with the little guy! Logan loves spending time with his nanna and we are excited to see her too!

More exciting news- my friend Erica just got engaged!!!! YEAH!!!! We wish her all the best and can't wait to see her in July!!

Hope everyone is doing well and i promise to have photos up soon!!!!

A much needed update!

I'm squeezing in some blog time because i know all of you are dying for an update! Everything in the Marangon house is going well! Logan is growing and growing and growing! He really is a beast and i am fondly calling him the Chunky Monkey! He has the best little leg rolls and he makes lots of fun sounds which remind us of monkeys! He has been doing better with the sleeping at night. Most nights he wakes up twice to eat but the last few nights he has only woken up once so lets hope that continues! Logan loves to stand up and look around the room. He has great head control and is trying very hard to sit up by himself. While he still is best friends with the lamp, house plant and fan, he is also very interested in his toys now. (It's good to see he is making new friends!) I am constantly amazed at how much he has grown and what he can do now. He has such a great little personality! He loves to laugh and has the best giggle! Changing time is his favorite as he loves to be naked! (I think we are in for some trouble with that!) He recognizes faces and voices and gets very excited when we come home from work.

Chris and I thought it would be fun for Logan to go to the zoo! It is the perfect size for little kids and has some great exhibits. We went for the first time over the weekend and ended up buying a season pass. Logan was very interested in the Australian Aviary and had a bottle sitting next to some wallabies. We are making him one with the Aussie wildlife! The weather was great and we had a really nice time! I think it will be fun to take Logan over the summer and just walk around!

Chris and I are doing well too! We are almost done with school and counting down the days till summer! We both have so many field trips and assemblies in school that it will be here before we know it! Chris' mom is coming to visit soon also! She will be here on Logan's 3 month birthday and we are super excited for her to meet the little guy! She'll be watching him during the day while we are at work, so she'll get lots of quality time with him!

We have tons of pictures for you all but i can't post them from this computer so you'll just have to wait a little longer!

We live!

Yes it has been awhile since a post! So sorry! The little guy still doesn't sleep too much during the day so there is little time for blogging! This is only getting done now because i am back at school and using my prep time! So here are some updates:
- Logan is still eating about every two hours during the day, however we are VERY happy to report that he is going much longer at night! He now eats around 9 and sleeps till around 3, after that bottle he goes back to sleep till around 5- when he wakes up but doesn't eat again until 7! So much better than every 2 hours!
- Logan just had his two-month check up and he is a beast! He weighs 13.5 lbs (80th percentile), his head size is in the 50th percentile but he measures in at a huge 25 inches!! He is so tall he is off the percentile chart!! Do i see some UCONN basketball in his future??
- Logan smiles all the time and giggles too. The best is when he does this while drinking a bottle as he is falling asleep! He enjoys being changed and laughs through the whole thing!
- The soy formula is still working pretty well. Even though Logan is a huge dribbler, he doesn't seem to get the upset stomache he was getting before.
- Logan LOVES his multi-color dragonfly and his elmo. He also enjoys staring (and laughing) at fake trees, lamps and fans ;o)

My school computer doesn't let me upload photos online but we have some cute ones we'll share with you soon!

Pictures!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while! The little guy doesn't sleep much! He will only sleep in your arms which prevents me from doing much of anything else!! Here are some pics Lindsey took of Logan when he was almost 4 weeks! Logan is almost 6 weeks now and is over 11 pounds!

From the Mommy

I am alive and well! Yes after hours of labor, a late afternoon c-section, several days in the hospital, abnormal post partum swelling (seriously i looked like a marshmallow and was so big my 9 month maternity clothes didn't even fit!) and many late night feedings....i live!

Logan is now two weeks and 4 days old and doing very well! He had his two week check up and has regained his birth weight and more! (For those of you that didn't know, i started breast feeding in the hospital but my milk never came in so Logan lost over a lb while we were there...it was very sad :o( So now he is a bottle baby!) He is now 8 lbs and 5 oz and grew from 20.5 to 21.5 inches! He is so big and strong!

We are also happy to say he is a very very good baby! He rarely cries and takes very long naps! He takes his bottle like a champ and burps like a king! While he does get up for 3-4 night feedings he normally falls right back to sleep so we are very happy about that!!

My stomach is starting to feel normal again so Logan and i have been meeting up with my mom for lots of mall walking. Logan sleeps really well in the car/stroller and i'm working on losing that baby weight!

Wish us all luck!
We'll post an update again soon!

Long story short:

Dani delivers baby at 6:15pm Saturday afternoon (19 and a 1/4 hrs) after trying for 4 hours then having to have emergency surgery anyway
Dani is exhausted and still at hospital
Chris is home typing this, feeding the dog and then heading back to the hospital!

Still Waiting!

Dani is still doing well and up and about. In fact she probably gets more exercise than me! She walks at least an hour every day and is feeling good. The little man is due tomorrow so if there is any news we will text everyone to let you know.
